Oh, no. We found this post at one of our friends sites and passed through to the Huffington Post article on the subject. Wooden Bow Ties. Really. Look, we get it, it’s kind of cute and kitschy, but please please, the Huff Post had these as something for Grooms, try and stay away from the wooden bow tie idea, this is one of those things that is going to come back and haunt you many years from now. Any special event and a wedding in particular is something that you are going to have to live with for the rest of your life, in photos and in memory. While something like this might seem “fun” or “different” at the time, its really not something that you are going to want to see repeatedly or hear about forever. Also, isn’t your choice of attire supposed to reflect something about who you are and what is important to you, so unless you’re a lumberjack, or actually some sort of great artist in woodwork wouldn’t this seem to be something to skip.
And as a side note, wearing a wooden bowtie around your neck? Unless its balsa wood, I’m assuming it pretty heavy, no?
